SOLUÇÃO PARA A MENSAGEM CHATA SOBRE MSVCRT COM FIREFOX & MSN!

A mensagem "Não foi possível localizar o ponto de entrada do procedimento _except_handler4_common na biblioteca de vínculo dinâmico msvcrt.dll." já deve ter aborrecido muita gente assim como aborreceu a mim por um longo tempo... Principalmente quando abrimos o Firefox, msn e outros programas...

Mas, depois de muito procurar, achei na net a solução (muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuito fácil).

Basta ir em System32 (na pasta Windows), e apagar o arquivo DWMAPI.DLL :D

SIMPLES ASSIM!

Parece-me que este arquivo é do Vista e no Xp dá esse pau aí...

como solucionar problema com "1607 : Unable to Install InstallShield Scripting Runtime"

Galera,

Eu estive tentando instalar um jogo original da Tomb Raider e acho que eu corrompi algo no meu pc antes e então, quando eu ia instalar, sempre aparecia a mensagem "1607 : Unable to Install InstallShield Scripting Runtime". Tentando resolver o problema, passei horas pesquisando sem uma resposta satisfatória em português ou inglês. Atualizei meu netframework e windows installer mas não adiantou e quando eu estava desistindo, achei o seguinte site em inglês:

mas como nem todo mundo sabe inglês, vou traduzir o trecho... mas os créditos são para os que escreveram em inglês...

SOLUÇÃO:

Para consertar este problema, você precisa saber o número necessário da versão do seu "IsScript engine" para instalá-la.

Dê um duplo-clique no arquivo de instalação [do programa] que você está tentando instalar e selecione Propriedades.

Normalamente esses arquivos de instalação se chamam algo como "setup.exe, update.exe, installer.exe", etc.

O arquivo de instalação pode ser encontrado no CD de onde você está tentando instalar o programa.
Na caixa de diálogo de Propriedades [acho que é assim que se chama] clique na aba "Versão". [Observe a imagem acima, que eu copiei do site. preste atenção ao número que está marcado, ele é importante!]

Olhe o Campo da Versão do Arquivo para saber o numero da "IsScript engine" que voc~e precisa:

Se o número da versão é 2.0x ou menor, faça download do " IKernel engine " e o instale no seu computador.

Apague a pasta C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\engine de sua máquina. [Observação, se o windows for em português, será C:\Arquivos de Programa\Arquivos Comuns\... o resto é igual ao do inglês. ]
Faça o Download IkernelUpdate.exe http://support.installshield.com/kb/files/Q108158/IkernelUpdate.exe

Uma vez que tenha feito o download, duplo clique nele. isto instalará o "IKernel engine", e deverá resolver o problema.

[AGORA O RESOLVEU NO MEU CASO]

Se o número da versão começa com 7, faça download do seguinte arquivo ISScript.msi e o instale no seu computador.

Apague a pasta C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver\7 da sua máquina.

[lembrando de novo: C:\Arquivos de programa\Arquivos Comuns\ e o resto é igual ao que tá na linha anterior.]

Fala o Download IsScript7x.zip http://support.installshield.com/kb/files/Q108158/IsScript7.zip
Descompacte o arquivo acima usando o WinZip.
Dê duplo-clique em IsScript.msi. isto isntalará o "IsScript engine", o que seve resolver o problema.
